How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Year 1 Teacher – Maternity Cover – September 2026 – December 2026

    Hartlepool – £121.50 to £150 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

    Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our successful supply team and work within a welcoming primary school in Hartlepool.

    This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday during school hours. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.

    The role will commence in September 2026 and continue until December 2026 to cover a period of maternity leave.

    Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.

    The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1, would be advantageous.

    The Role

    Working as part of a supportive and experienced teaching team, the desired Year 1 Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality learning opportunities for pupils.

    Responsibilities may include:

    Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
    Creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.
    Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil progress.
    Differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of all learners.
    Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting high expectations.
    Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies where required.
    Supporting pupils' personal, social, and emotional development.
    Contributing to the wider life of the school community.

    Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

    Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
