How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant – Primary School
    Location: Lambeth, SW2
    Start Date: September 2026

    Pay: £108.35 per day
    SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Position A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth (SW2) is seeking a dedicated SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. The school is interviewing suitable candidates immediately and is looking to appoint a committed individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
    This rewarding role will involve providing 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, regulate emotions and develop positive relationships within the school environment.
    The Role
    Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with ASC and SEMH needs.
    Supporting the pupil both inside and outside of the classroom.
    Implementing behaviour management strategies and promoting positive engagement.
    Assisting with emotional regulation and social development.
    Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals.
    Supporting the pupil with aspects of personal care when required.
    Creating a safe, nurturing and structured environment that enables the pupil to thrive.The Ideal Candidate
    Experience supporting children with ASC, SEMH or other additional needs.
    Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner.
    Resilient, patient and able to build positive, trusting relationships.
    Comfortable supporting personal care needs when necessary.
    Strong communication and teamwork skills.
