How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician looking to work with cutting-edge technology in one of Scotland's most advanced manufacturing environments?
    We're recruiting on behalf of a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing, offering the opportunity to work on highly automated production equipment in a world-class cleanroom facility.
    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that invests heavily in technology, continuous improvement and the development of its engineering teams.
    The Role
    As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in keeping production running by carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
    Working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams, you'll diagnose faults, repair complex manufacturing equipment and help drive improvements that maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
    You'll also contribute to equipment upgrades, machine modifications and support the development of apprentices and trainee technicians.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on advanced manufacturing equipment.
    * Diagnose electrical and electronic faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
    * Complete maintenance activities using the company's electronic maintenance management system.
    * Support equipment improvements and modification projects.
    * Work closely with Production and Quality teams to maximise equipment performance.
    * Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures.
    * Maintain accurate maintenance records and shift handovers.
    * Promote 5S standards and continuous improvement across the department.
    What We're Looking For
    We're keen to speak with engineers who have experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment within a production environment.
    Ideally you'll have experience with:
    * Electrical and/or electronic maintenance
    * Fault finding on automated production equipment
    * Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
    * Root cause analysis and problem solving
    * Working with CMMS or maintenance management systems
    * Continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
    Experience within semiconductor, electronics, pharmaceutical, food & drink, FMCG, medical device, automotive or other highly automated manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.
    What's on Offer?
    * Competitive salary
    * Shift allowance
    * Comprehensive benefits package
    * Ongoing technical training and development
    * Exposure to world-class semiconductor manufacturing technology
    * Long-term career progression with a global organisation
    * Modern, clean and highly automated working environment
    If you're looking to develop your engineering career within a business that values innovation, teamwork and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you
