We are recruiting for a Junior Expeditor to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with some previous supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or administration experience to develop their career within a supportive and highly experienced team.

This role is ideal for an ambitious individual who wants to learn from experienced professionals, gain exposure to a complex supply chain environment, and develop skills that can open doors to future opportunities within procurement and supply chain management.

As an Expeditor, you will play a key role in ensuring suppliers deliver materials and components on time, supporting operational and production requirements across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery from suppliers
Proactively communicate with suppliers to monitor order progress and resolve delivery issues
Support the procurement team with day-to-day order management activities
Maintain accurate records and update order information within ERP systems
Build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Identify potential supply risks and escalate concerns where appropriate
Provide regular updates on supplier performance and order status
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function

What We're Looking For

Some experience within purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, administration, customer service, or a related coordination role
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers
Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
Experience using ERP systems would be advantageous but is not essential
