Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, highly organised, and naturally curious about food sourcing and supply chains. With a proactive and commercially aware approach, they will take ownership of key buying activities and contribute to the effective delivery of procurement objectives.
In this role, you will be taking on responsibility for elements of the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier coordination, negotiations, and you will continue to develop your commercial and procurement expertise while adding tangible value to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee procurement activities, ensuring effective and efficient execution of end-to-end sourcing processes
- Manage and develop relationships across a broad stakeholder network, including commercial teams, supply chain, technical, finance, and external suppliers
- Produce and analyse detailed reports to support strategic decision-making and optimise purchasing performance
- Drive best practice procurement processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee data management, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and effective utilisation of procurement data
- Lead costing activities, ensuring robust cost control, transparency, and record management
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
Occasional requirement to travel within the UK and Internationally.
Knowledge/Qualifications:
5 - 10+ years experience in similar role
