How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Pump Service Engineer – Nottingham

Our Depot, based in Nottingham has played a pivotal role in providing exceptional services across the Central region, ensuring our prestigious client base receive top quality results throughout entirety of the process. whether it be installation or Servicing our Service engineers play a vital role in ensuring our clients daily operations continue to run without a hindrance. At the Andrews Sykes Group we pride our self on our expert industry knowledge alongside our exceptional customer service, which is displayed throughout our work force within our cultural happiness of the group.

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced full time Service engineer based at our Nottingham depot. As a service Engineer you will be responsible for installation and servicing of our large range of industry standard pumps out on site, Experience is essential ideally with a customer faced background.

    To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate Experience within either Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Engines & Pumps in a customer faced environment.

    The correct candidate will have a full clean Driving license with previous plant hire experience. It is important that you are highly motivated, commercially aware and committed to delivering results to strict timelines in an industry which is ever changing.

    As you will be working collaboratively across the business you will also need to demonstrate your ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with people across a wide range of responsibilities and disciplines.
