How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £14.00ph

    About the Role

    We are looking for reliable and hardworking Van Drivers / Event Staff to support our busy school uniform distribution season during July and August.

    This is a varied, customer-facing role that involves travelling to schools across the North and Central regions of England to deliver stock, set up events, and assist parents collecting school uniform bundles. Schools are predominantly located along the A1/M1 corridor, with travel ranging from Middlesbrough in the north, Nottinghamshire in the south, Scunthorpe in the east, and Haydock in the west.

    A company van will be provided, and a full UK driving licence is essential.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Deliver stock to school distribution and exchange events across the A1/M1 corridor.

    * Plan and manage your time effectively to arrive at events as required.

    * Set up and organise event spaces, including unloading, lifting and moving boxes of garments.

    * Assist with stock organisation and inventory counts.

    * Accurately distribute pre-packed school uniform bundles to parents.

    * Provide excellent customer service and represent the business professionally at all times.

    * Ensure all stock is handled carefully and distributed accurately.

    * Support peak season requirements, including longer working days and occasional evening work.

    About You

    We're looking for someone who is:

    * Customer-focused with previous customer-facing experience.

    * In possession of a full, clean UK driving licence.

    * An excellent communicator with a friendly and professional manner.

    * Hands-on, hardworking and willing to get stuck in.

    * Well organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.

    * Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work long hours during busy periods.

    * Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities.

    * Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy boxes.

    * Highly detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in stock handling and customer orders.

    What We Offer

    * Company van provided.

    * Opportunity to work independently while travelling across a variety of locations.

    * Friendly and supportive team environment.

    * A fast-paced and rewarding role helping families prepare for the new school year.

    If you're dependable, customer-focused and enjoy a role that combines driving, logistics and customer service, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to join our summer events team
