How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    GDS Partners are recruiting a Graduate EHS Advisor on behalf of a well-established Civil Engineering & Earthworks Contractor for a permanent position based in London.

    Our client is a well-established contractor operating across the civil engineering, earthworks and construction sectors. They have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects throughout the Greater London area and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.

    About the role:

    London-based role.
    Work closely with an experienced EHS Manager.
    Excellent opportunity for a graduate or junior EHS professional looking to develop their career.
    Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 + package.
    Permanent position with structured training and career progression. Main duties will include, but not be limited to:
    Assist with regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
    Support the preparation, review and maintenance of SHEQ documentation, including RAMS and site safety plans.
    Help ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
    Assist with incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and supporting corrective actions.
    Monitor EHS performance and assist with internal reporting.
    Provide ongoing EHS support and guidance to project and site teams.
    Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks.
    Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across all projects. To be successful in your application you will possess the following:

    Basic understanding of EHS legislation and best practice.
    Strong communication and organisational skills.
