How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Cannock
    Salary: From £26,780 per annum + Uncapped Commission
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

    We're looking for an enthusiastic Recruitment Consultant to join our established and successful team in Cannock. No previous recruitment experience is required – we'll provide full training, ongoing support, and genuine opportunities for career progression.

    The Role

    As a Recruitment Consultant, you'll take ownership of the full recruitment process, building strong relationships with both clients and candidates while developing your own portfolio of business.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Developing new business opportunities and promoting recruitment services to prospective and existing clients

    * Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients

    * Visiting client sites to manage recruitment requirements and provide excellent account management

    * Sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates for a variety of office-based roles

    * Conducting face-to-face candidate interviews

    * Managing compliance and recruitment administration

    * Matching candidates to suitable vacancies and supporting them through the recruitment process

    * Delivering an exceptional service to both clients and candidates

    What We're Looking For

    We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to succeed.

    You'll ideally have:

    * Previous experience in sales, business development or customer service (preferred but not essential)

    * Strong communication and relationship-building skills

    * A confident, outgoing and proactive approach

    * A self-motivated attitude with a strong work ethic

    * The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

    * A willingness to learn and develop a long-term career in recruitment

    * A full UK driving licence, or be currently learning to drive
