How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEND Lecturer – Inclusive Learning – Temporary, Ware £28.86 to £31.01 per hour

    We are recruiting for a temporary SEND Lecturer to work at Hertford Regional College to help deliver an outstanding learner experience and be inspirational to students at their state of art facilities in Ware.

    About The Role

    As a lecturer for students with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) that range from profound to moderate learning disabilities and/or difficulties, you will report directly to the Curriculum Area Manager. You will be responsible for delivering life skills across our provision incorporating key curriculum areas and developing the independent living skills our young people need to make a successful transition into adult life. This will include the development of Vocational/Work Skills, Community Inclusion and Health and Wellbeing. This will also include dedicated and integrated Entry Level Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT) throughout the curriculum.

    The schedule of hours on offer is

    Mon, 13.30-1600,

    Tues 9.30-11, 11.15-12.15, 13.15-1600,

    Weds 9.30-1600,

    Fri 9.30-1600

    About You

    We are seeking an experienced life skills lecturer for students with special educational needs and/or disabilities. You will have a demonstrable ability to achieve student success in preparing for adulthood. You will be creative, imaginative and have a deep knowledge of and passion for nurturing and encouraging our SEND students to reach their potential.
