How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teacher of Business Studies (Long-Term Supply)

    Location: Large Academy, Doncaster
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract: Long-Term Supply (Full-Time)
    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Business Studies to join a thriving and well-established academy in Doncaster from September 2026 on a long-term, full-time basis.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher to become part of a supportive and ambitious school community, delivering engaging Business Studies lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will be passionate about developing students' knowledge of the business world while fostering confidence, ambition, and a love of learning.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons that engage and challenge students.
    Teach Business Studies across Key Stage 4, with the ability to teach Key Stage 5 being desirable.
    Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
    Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour and achievement.
    Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and backgrounds.
    Contribute to the wider life of the academy, including departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and school events where appropriate.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support continuous improvement.
    Maintain accurate records in line with school policies and statutory requirements.

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will have:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
    Experience teaching Business Studies within a secondary school setting.
    Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Business education.
    Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
    The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
    A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
    An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
