How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering full pre and post-contract quantity surveying services.

Preparing cost plans, estimates, tender documentation and procurement advice.

Administering and managing NEC4 contracts throughout the project lifecycle.

Managing project budgets, cost reporting and forecasting.

Handling valuations, compensation events, change control and final accounts.

Identifying commercial risks and implementing effective cost management strategies.

Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.

Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team.

To be considered for this role, you'll ideally have:

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.

Chartered status (MRICS) or be working towards chartership.

Strong, demonstrable experience administering NEC4 contracts - this is essential.

Experience within a consultancy or client-side environment.

Excellent commercial awareness and cost management expertise.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.

    A full UK driving licence.

    What's on Offer?

Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

    Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Clear career progression within a growing consultancy.

Ongoing professional development and support towards further qualifications.

Opportunity to work on prestigious, high-value construction and infrastructure projects.

    Collaborative, supportive team culture.

Generous annual leave and pension scheme
