How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Location: Marden & Kings Hill (travel between both sites required)

Salary: £30,(Apply online only) - £40,(Apply online only)

Benefits: Company Pension, Private Healthcare Option, CPD Support & Career Development

    Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Sales Coach on behalf of one of our clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a former British Army Physical Training Instructor (PTI) or military leader looking to combine their passion for fitness with a dynamic sales role. This is a genuine dual-role position where no two days are the same, combining high-quality coaching with business development and member engagement across two thriving fitness facilities.

Our client has specifically asked us to identify Ex-Army PTIs who possess the confidence, professionalism, and communication skills to become ambassadors for their business. They are looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, leading from the front, and isn't afraid to proactively engage with new people to grow the business.

This role would particularly suit former Lance Corporals, Corporals or Sergeants who have developed strong leadership, instructional, and interpersonal skills during their military career and are looking for a rewarding civilian opportunity.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates with the relevant experience will be given due consideration.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Coaching
Deliver engaging, structured, and motivating group coaching sessions across both sites.
Create a safe, inclusive, and high-energy training environment.
Build strong relationships with members to maximise engagement and retention.
Cover coaching sessions across both locations as required.
Lead by example and uphold exceptional coaching standards.
    Sales & Business Development
Proactively generate new business through outbound calls and member engagement.
Conduct consultations with prospective members to understand their goals and recommend suitable training programmes.
Convert inbound enquiries into long-term members through exceptional customer service.
Promote the business both inside and outside of the gym, acting as a brand ambassador.
Support marketing initiatives and contribute to social media content where appropriate.
Drive referral programmes and work alongside the coaching team to achieve membership growth targets.
Maintain accurate customer records using the company CRM system.
Work towards individual and team sales targets and KPIs.
    Skills and Qualifications:

Level 3 Personal Training qualification (essential).
Former British Army Physical Training Instructor (PTI) experience is highly desirable and actively sought by our client.
Ideally served as a Lance Corporal, Corporal or Sergeant with proven leadership and instructional experience.
Passion for functional fitness, strength and conditioning.
Proven experience within a sales or customer-facing environment.
Comfortable making outbound calls and confidently approaching prospective clients.
    Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Confident promoting both yourself and the business.
Strong understanding of social media and digital promotion would be highly advantageous.
Adaptable and capable of balancing coaching and sales responsibilities.
    Self-motivated, driven, and target focused.
Physically fit with a professional appearance and able to inspire confidence in members.
Willingness to travel between both sites
    Benefits:

    Competitive salary.
    Company pension scheme.
Generous annual leave entitlement and company sick pay.
    Optional private healthcare.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and ongoing training.
A varied role combining coaching, leadership, sales, and business development.
The opportunity to play a key role within a growing fitness organisation.
A supportive, ambitious, and close-knit team environment.
Autonomy to influence business growth and build lasting client relationships.
    Why Apply?

If you're a former British Army PTI who enjoys working with people just as much as coaching them, this is an opportunity to utilise both your instructional and leadership skills in a fast-paced civilian environment.

Our client isn't just looking for another coach.. they're looking for someone who can become the face of the business. Someone who is confident, personable, commercially aware, and genuinely passionate about helping people improve their lives while growing an ambitious organisation.

If you're ready to lead from the front once again, we'd love to hear from you
