How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Engineer to join a well-established company operating across the Home Counties. Renowned for delivering high-quality home improvement solutions, the business is looking for a skilled individual who takes pride in providing first-class workmanship and excellent customer service.

    The Opportunity

    This is a varied, hands-on role where every day brings something different. From carrying out adjustments to windows and doors to diagnosing and repairing issues with conservatories and glazed extensions, you'll play an important part in ensuring customers receive an exceptional aftercare service.

    Working independently across the region, you'll be responsible for resolving faults efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

    Key Duties

    * Carry out warranty service visits to inspect, diagnose and resolve product issues.

    * Complete repairs and maintenance on windows, doors and conservatories.

    * Replace sealed glass units, window sashes, door slabs and other components as required.

    * Adjust windows and doors to ensure they operate correctly.

    * Fit replacement hardware, including hinges, handles and locks.

    * Identify and rectify leaks and other faults on conservatory roofs.

    * Deliver a professional, customer-focused service on every visit.

    About You

    The successful candidate will have:

    * Previous experience servicing or installing windows, doors and conservatories.

    * A full UK driving licence.

    * Strong fault-finding and practical repair skills.

    * The ability to work independently and manage their own workload.

    * A proactive and flexible approach to solving problems.

    * Excellent organisation and time management skills.

    * Good communication skills with a professional and friendly manner.

    * A commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
