How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer
    West Midlands (mobile) | £36,000 to £42,000 depending on experience | Company vehicle and fuel card

    Are you an experienced air conditioning engineer who would rather be out on the road solving problems than stuck on one site day after day? Our client, a well-established and growing cooling specialist, is looking for a skilled Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join their team and take ownership of their commercial client base across the West Midlands.

    This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in a job done properly. No two days are the same. One morning you might be carrying out planned maintenance on a retail unit, the next you could be diagnosing an intermittent fault on a system keeping a busy office comfortable. You will be trusted to manage your own diary, represent the company on customer sites, and keep systems running reliably for clients who depend on them.

    The role

    Reporting into the service team, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a wide range of commercial air conditioning systems. Day to day, this will involve:

    * Attending scheduled planned maintenance visits across a portfolio of commercial sites

    * Responding to reactive call-outs and getting systems back up and running quickly

    * Diagnosing faults accurately and carrying out repairs first time wherever possible

    * Working with split systems, VRV and VRF systems, and other commercial equipment

    * Completing service documentation and keeping accurate records of work carried out

    * Building strong working relationships with clients and delivering a genuinely professional service

    * Managing your own workload and route efficiently to make the most of each day

    What we are looking for

    * Proven experience working on commercial air conditioning systems

    * Current F-Gas certification (Category 1)

    * A full UK driving licence

    * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability

    * Confident communication skills and a professional, customer-facing manner

    * The self-motivation to work independently and organise your own day

    What is on offer

    * A competitive salary of £36,000 to £42,000, depending on experience

    * Company vehicle

    * Fuel card

    * Uniform and tools provided

    * Ongoing training and development to keep your skills and certifications current

    * A supportive, professional working environment where good engineers are valued and looked after

    This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, skilled engineer who enjoys the independence of a mobile role and wants to be part of a company that is genuinely growing. If you take pride in your work and want a role with real variety, we would like to hear from you
