How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    School Administrator - Whitstable

    Location: Whitstable, Kent
    Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)
    Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
    Contract Type: Permanent
    Start Date: September 2026

    Academics Ltd is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Whitstable to recruit an experienced and highly organised School Administrator for a permanent, full-time position starting in September 2026.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated School Administrator to become a valued member of a friendly school community. As the School Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the school office while providing exceptional support to pupils, staff, parents, and visitors.

    Key Responsibilities

    Managing attendance, admissions, and pupil records using SIMS, Arbor, or other school management systems.
    Providing comprehensive administrative support, including data entry, filing, document management, and correspondence.
    Acting as the first point of contact on reception, welcoming visitors, parents, staff, and external agencies.
    Responding to telephone and email enquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
    Supporting the Headteacher and wider administration team with the day-to-day running of the school.
    Assisting with school communications, newsletters, reports, and general office administration.
    Maintaining confidential records in line with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this School Administrator role, you will have:

    Previous experience working as a School Administrator within a primary or secondary school.
    Working knowledge of SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom (desirable).
    Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
    The ability to prioritise workloads and work efficiently in a busy school office.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
