How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Logistics & Inventory Coordinator - UK

    Coordinate UK freight, rentals and stock across office and yard operations, working closely with the warehouse team and UK clients. You will control freight bookings and rates, maintain inventory accuracy, and provide timely shipping updates to support quoting and delivery.

    Based in the Edinburgh area across office and yard locations, working 40 hours per week from Monday - Friday.

    The role

    The Logistics & Inventory Coordinator - UK will coordinate UK freight movements, rental activity and inventory control across office and yard locations. The role exists to provide accurate freight costs and shipping dates to support quoting and fulfilment for UK clients. You will work with the warehouse team to maintain up-to-date stock information through regular inventory and rolling stock takes.

    What you'll be doing

    - Negotiating UK freight rates with carriers and forwarding partners.
    - Booking UK inbound and outbound freight in line with agreed schedules.
    - Providing national freight rates to Designers for quoting purposes.
    - Updating and maintaining the pipeline of expected and actual UK shipping dates.
    - Issuing weekly shipping date updates and all required paperwork, including CoCs, to UK clients.
    - Conducting inventory activities and monthly rolling stock takes, and overseeing UK rentals with the warehouse team.

    What we're looking for

    - Excellent demonstrable experience with computers and software, including Outlook and Excel.
    - Experience implementing inventory software; Point of Rental experience preferred.
    - Strong UK freight forwarding experience; international freight forwarding experience desirable.
    - High attention to detail in documentation, data and scheduling.
    - Strong teamwork and customer focus, with clear and professional communication skills.
    - Full UK driving licence.
