How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Secondary Teacher of Humanities (ECTs & Experienced Teachers Welcome)

    Location: Trafford
    Position: Secondary Teacher of Humanities (ECTs & Experienced Teachers)
    Start Date: September 2026
    Salary: £150–£200 per day DOE

    About the Role:

    Teach Humanities across Key Stages 3 and 4, including subjects such as History, Geography and Religious Education
    Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking
    Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student is challenged to achieve their best
    Assess, monitor and support student progress through effective feedback and targeted intervention
    Work collaboratively within the Humanities department to develop curriculum resources and share best practice
    Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment opportunities and extracurricular activities
    About You:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to achieve QTS by September 2026
    A degree in History, Geography, Religious Education or a related Humanities subject
    A genuine passion for Humanities education and inspiring young people
    Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills
    High expectations of student achievement, behaviour and personal development
    A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development
