How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    DIY Conservatory Sales Consultant

    Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

    About the Opportunity

Chase Taylor Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established and growing business within the home improvement sector to recruit an experienced DIY Conservatory Sales Consultant.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional with a background in conservatories and solid roof systems to join a successful organisation that is committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

The role is centred around managing warm, inbound enquiries from customers who have already expressed an interest in purchasing a conservatory or roofing solution. This is a consultative sales position with no cold calling, allowing you to focus on understanding customer requirements, providing expert advice, preparing quotations, and guiding customers through the sales journey from enquiry to order.

Working alongside internal departments, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive an efficient, professional and seamless buying experience while contributing to the continued success of the business.

    Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate, your duties will include:

    *

Managing inbound enquiries received via telephone, email and online quotation requests.

    *

Speaking with customers to understand their project requirements and recommending the most suitable conservatory and roofing solutions.

    *

Providing expert advice on conservatory styles, glazing options, solid roof systems and product specifications.

    *

Producing accurate quotations and revising them as customer requirements evolve.

    *

Following up quotations to answer customer queries and maximise sales conversions.

    *

Building strong customer relationships through a professional and consultative sales approach.

    *

Managing customers throughout the complete sales process, ensuring regular communication and excellent service.

    *

Working closely with internal teams to ensure quotations, orders and customer information are processed accurately.

    *

Maintaining accurate customer records using CRM systems.

    *

Achieving individual sales targets while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

    *

Keeping up to date with product developments and industry trends.

    *

Providing professional after-sales support and resolving customer queries where required.

    About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have previous experience within the conservatory industry and a proven track record in a customer-focused sales environment.

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build rapport quickly, understand customer needs, and provide tailored solutions. You'll be organised, commercially aware and motivated by delivering outstanding customer service while achieving sales results.

    Skills & Experience Required

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    *

    Proven experience within conservatory sales.

    *

Previous experience selling solid roof systems.

    *

Strong knowledge of conservatory products and home improvement solutions.

    *

Excellent telephone, written and face-to-face communication skills.

    *

A consultative sales approach with the ability to convert enquiries into sales.

    *

Experience preparing accurate quotations and managing customer expectations.

    *

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

    *

Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

    *

A professional, reliable and self-motivated attitude.

    *

The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.

If you have the industry knowledge, customer-focused approach and sales experience required, Chase Taylor Recruitment would be pleased to hear from you
