How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    An established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Senior or Associate Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing infrastructure team.

    This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role in the delivery of high-profile infrastructure and development projects across the UK, Ireland and internationally, while enjoying genuine opportunities for career progression.

    The Role

    You will play a key role in the design and delivery of major civil engineering schemes, working closely with clients, multidisciplinary design teams and mentoring junior engineers throughout the project lifecycle.

    Projects span a diverse range of sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and major infrastructure developments.

    Responsibilities

    Lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.

    Produce and review highways, drainage, earthworks and external works designs.

    Deliver road layouts, cut and fill analysis, foul and surface water drainage strategies and infrastructure solutions.

    Manage project programmes, budgets and technical delivery.

    Liaise directly with clients, architects, local authorities and statutory bodies.

    Mentor and support the development of Graduate and Civil Engineers.

    Build and maintain strong client relationships, with opportunities to contribute to business development at Associate level.

    Requirements

    Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng).

    Significant experience within a UK or Irish engineering consultancy.

    Strong technical background in civil infrastructure design.

    Experience delivering highways, drainage and earthworks projects.

    Proficient in Civil 3D, with experience using MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage or PDS.

    Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

    Chartered (CEng) or working towards Chartership is desirable.
