How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    A welcoming and supportive SEN school in Gloucester is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join their team as an SEN Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable experience working with children who have a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

    As a Psychology Graduate - SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, supporting both their academic progress and emotional wellbeing. You will collaborate with experienced teachers and specialist staff while developing practical skills in behaviour management, communication strategies, and child development.

    This role is ideal for graduates considering further study or careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Teaching.

    Key Responsibilities - Psychology Graduate - SEN Teaching Assistant

    Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
    Assist teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated learning activities.
    Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction.
    Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.
    Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
    Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school team.What We're Looking For

    A degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject).
    A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
