How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The school is committed to delivering a broad and engaging Creative Arts curriculum, encouraging students to explore a range of artistic techniques, develop their creative thinking and build confidence through visual expression.

    Job Overview:

    This school caters for students aged 11-16.
    Full-time, Monday - Friday, Art Teacher role.
    Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Art lessons across KS3 and KS4.
    Inspire students through creative, practical and imaginative teaching that develops artistic skills, critical thinking and individual expression.
    Assess, monitor and track student progress to ensure strong attainment and positive outcomes.
    Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all students can develop their creativity and achieve their potential.
    Encourage experimentation with a variety of artistic media, techniques and processes while promoting high standards of presentation and craftsmanship.
    Work collaboratively with the Creative Arts department and wider school team.
    Contribute to curriculum development, exhibitions, enrichment activities and extracurricular opportunities, including art clubs, competitions and school displays where appropriate.This Art Teacher role in Harlow offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and ambitious school that values both student achievement and staff development. You will play a key role in nurturing students' creativity, developing their technical skills and encouraging them to appreciate the visual arts while building confidence, resilience and independent thinking.

    What we're looking for:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
    A degree in Art, Fine Art, Art & Design or a closely related subject.
    Experience teaching Art across KS3 and KS4 within a secondary school.
    A passion for Art and the ability to engage, motivate and challenge learners of all abilities.
    Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
    A proactive, positive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
    An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).What's next?
