How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Key Responsibilities

    As a Teacher of Business Studies, you will inspire students through engaging and relevant lessons that bring business concepts to life.     Your responsibilities will include:

    Delivering engaging and well-planned Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
    Supporting students to achieve their full potential through high-quality teaching and effective assessment.
    Monitoring progress and providing meaningful feedback that promotes continuous improvement.
    Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels supported and challenged.
    Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop the curriculum and share best practice.
    Contributing to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and school events.
    Requirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is due to achieve QTS soon.
    A degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a closely related subject.
    A strong understanding of Business Studies and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.
    Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
    A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
    The ability to motivate, engage, and inspire students with varying learning needs.
    A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
