How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Graduate Electrical Engineer
    Rugby
    Up to £30,000

Start your engineering career where power, scale, and innovation come together.
Are you a recent graduate or postgraduate engineer looking for more than a typical design office role? Do you want to work on equipment that forms the backbone of industry, power generation, and critical infrastructure?
We are looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our specialist engineering team, supporting the design, analysis, testing, and lifecycle management of large high-voltage machines, including motors and generators that operate in some of the world's most demanding environments.

    Learn from experienced engineers
You will join a small, dedicated engineering team where your contribution will be visible from day one. Unlike larger organisations where graduates can become highly specialised very quickly, this role offers exposure to a broad range of engineering activities and direct access to experienced engineers who have spent decades designing, testing, troubleshooting, and improving electrical machines.
Our team values technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. You will be encouraged to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and develop your expertise through hands-on experience and mentoring.

    What you can expect
    - Exposure to the full engineering lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing and operational support.
    - Opportunities to work on both new equipment and the optimisation and life extension of existing machines.
    - Direct involvement in solving real engineering problems with measurable impact.
    - Collaboration with specialists across electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and service disciplines.
    - Structured development of technical knowledge alongside practical engineering experience.

    Who we are looking for
You may have recently completed, or be nearing completion of, a degree or postgraduate qualification in:
    - Electrical Engineering
    - Power Engineering
    - Electromechanical Engineering
    - Energy Systems Engineering
    - A closely related engineering discipline

Most importantly, we are looking for individuals who are:
    - Curious and eager to learn
    - Interested in power systems and electrical machines
    - Comfortable tackling complex technical challenges
    - Collaborative and willing to learn from experienced colleagues
    - Motivated to develop into a well-rounded engineer
    Salary description

    £30000.00 - £30000.00 per year
