How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Joining this firm means working in a highly prestigious environment with a reputation for technical excellence and strategic insight.

    The Role

You will join a leading competition team within the London office, advising across the full spectrum of UK and EU competition law. The practice focuses on merger control, cartel investigations, abuse of dominance cases, follow-on and standalone damages, and high-value competition litigation. The team regularly advises on multi-jurisdictional matters, often at the forefront of global antitrust enforcement. You will gain exposure to cutting-edge work, including advising on matters before the European Commission, UK Competition and Markets Authority, High Court litigation, and strategic advisory mandates for prominent global clients. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with top-tier partners on high-profile cases and deals, taking early responsibility in a collaborative and intellectually rigorous environment.

    What They’re Looking For

    • UK- or EU-qualified lawyer with 2–4 years’ PQE
    • Strong academic credentials from a leading academic institution
    • Demonstrated interest in the full spectrum of competition and antitrust law
    • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • EU and UK merger control for large-scale deals
    • Article 101 / Chapter 1 cases, including cartel investigations
    • Abuse of dominance cases (Article 102 / Chapter 2)
    • Competition litigation, including follow-on damages actions
    • Ideally, experience gained at a top-tier international or leading domestic firm (London or Brussels)
    • Advantageous to have experience engaging with European Commission and/or UK competition authorities
    • Excellent drafting and analytical skills, commercial awareness, and ability to thrive under pressure
    • A collaborative mindset and confidence in managing client-facing responsibilities

    Why Apply?

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a premier US law firm in a global competition practice consistently involved in the most sophisticated and high-profile matters in the market. You will benefit from unparalleled exposure to complex, multi-jurisdictional mandates, structured career development, and the chance to work in an elite, truly international environment. The firm offers top of market remuneration, an attractive bonus scheme, and excellent training and progression opportunities.
