How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a client-facing, growth-focused role where you will identify, develop and convert new business opportunities, as well as expand relationships within an established customer base. You will work closely with operational delivery and technical sales teams to shape and win projects that support clients on their net zero and energy efficiency journeys.

You will engage with senior stakeholders across client organisations, including directors and heads of function within engineering, estates, procurement, sustainability, energy, and project management, as well as external partners and technology providers.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Identify and pursue new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, and public sector markets including education, healthcare, logistics, leisure, and hospitality

    * Lead client engagement activity including site surveys, solution development, and preparation of proposals and quotations

    * Own and manage the end-to-end bid process (PQQs, ITTs and tender submissions), including bid/no-bid decisions, presentations, and commercial negotiations

    * Work closely with internal technical, operational and commercial teams to ensure accurate, competitive and deliverable solutions

    * Maintain and update CRM systems to ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and pipeline visibility

    * Stay informed on industry trends, lighting technologies, energy reduction strategies, and relevant regulatory developments

    Skills & Experience

    * Minimum 5 years’ experience within the lighting, electrical, or energy efficiency sector

    * Strong understanding of lighting systems, products, and energy reduction solutions

    * Proven track record in business development, solution selling, and winning new contracts

    * Experience with tendering processes (PQQ/ITT) and complex bid management

    * Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contractual terms

    * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

    * Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

    Desirable (not essential):

    * Experience delivering turnkey installation or lighting control solutions

    * Familiarity with energy services or decarbonisation-led projects

    What’s on Offer

    * Opportunity to play a key role in driving growth within a high-priority energy and sustainability-focused business area

    * Exposure to senior-level client stakeholders and strategic industry partners

    * Dynamic environment with scope to shape solutions, influence strategy, and contribute to innovation in energy reduction
