Pertemps Medical Professionals are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Sexual Health Practitioner to join a busy and well-established Integrated Sexual Health Service in Croydon.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled clinician with experience in sexual health, contraception, and STI management to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day delivery of Integrated Sexual Health Services.
Undertake autonomous practitioner-led clinics.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, history taking, and physical examinations.
Provide specialist advice, diagnosis, treatment, and management relating to sexual health and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Deliver contraception services and sexual health interventions.
Work under Patient Group Directions (PGDs) and/or as an Independent Prescriber where applicable.
Undertake contraceptive implant insertion and removal.
Provide clinical leadership and support to junior staff members.
Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Essential Requirements :
Registered Nurse (NMC) or relevant Sexual Health Practitioner qualification.
Previous experience working within Sexual Health, Contraception, or Integrated Sexual Health Services. Strong understanding of STI testing, diagnosis, treatment, and management pathways.
Experience managing autonomous clinics and patient caseloads.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Experience
Independent Prescriber qualification.
Competency in contraceptive implant insertion and removal.
Experience working under Patient Group Directions (PGDs).
