How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with mechanical skills looking to work for a growing company who are well known to look after their staff.

    Do you have a background in mechanical maintenance? Would you like to progress your career at a growing company?

    This well established company specialise in materials processing and production. They have gone from strength to strength over the last couple of years, and have recently opened a new state-of-the-art facility. They are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their expert team.

    In this role you will be tasked with a mixture of pre-planned and reactive maintenance on mobile and fixed plant. In addition to this you will be provided with further training and have the chance to go on various external courses.

    This role would therefore suit an individual with mechanical maintenance experience who is looking for a new challenge and the chance to join a growing company.

    The Role:

    Pre-planned & reactive maintenance
    Mechanical fault finding/repair
    Working on mobile and fixed plant
    Monday to Friday
    £15.00 - £16.00/hr + Overtime + Training + BenefitsThe Person:
