How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Sales Administrator

    The Company

    Our client is a well-established company supplying branded products to businesses across the UK. They have built an excellent reputation for quality and service and continue to grow, working with a wide range of clients.

    They are now looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Sales Administrator to join their team.

    The Role

    This is a varied role that combines sales administration, customer service and basic accounts. You will be looking after existing customer accounts, processing orders, completing general administration and assisting with the day-to-day accounts function using Sage.

    You’ll also have the opportunity to build relationships with customers and, where appropriate, visit clients. There is also the potential to earn commission.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Managing and developing existing customer accounts.

    * Processing customer enquiries, quotations and sales orders.

    * Speaking with customers over the phone and providing excellent customer service.

    * Using the company CRM system to manage customer information and orders.

    * Raising sales invoices.

    * Processing purchase invoices.

    * Assisting with general accounts administration using Sage.

    * Maintaining accurate customer and sales records.

    * Liaising with suppliers and internal departments.

    * Visiting clients when opportunities arise.

    * Supporting the wider office team with general administration.

    The Ideal Candidate

    The successful candidate will have:

    * Previous experience in a Sales Administrator, Office Administrator or Customer Service role.

    * Basic accounts experience, including purchase and sales invoicing.

    * Experience using Sage or similar accounting software.

    * Experience using a CRM system.

    * Confident and professional telephone manner.

    * Excellent communication and organisational skills.

    * Good attention to detail.

    * A positive, flexible and team-oriented approach.

    * Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    Salary & Benefits

    * £27,000 – £33,000 per annum, depending on experience.
