About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects when teachers are absent, ensuring students remain engaged and on task. You'll help maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and provide valuable support to the wider school team. Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across different subject areas.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.
Ensure students remain focused, engaged and complete the work provided.
Provide a calm, organised learning environment throughout the school day.
Report on student attendance, behaviour and lesson outcomes to teaching staff.
Build positive relationships with students and contribute to the school's supportive culture.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with young people or within an educational setting is desirable.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Confidence leading groups of students independently.
A flexible, proactive and professional approach.
The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy school environment.
A genuine interest in supporting students' learning and development.

Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
