How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Specialist School for children with Autism

    ASAP Start - Long-term position

    Are you interested in supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Would you like to build your experience working with Complex Learning Disabilities?

    A fantastic specialist school in Oxford are looking for a caring, personable individual to join their team as an Autism Support Assistant. This is a full-time position, 5 days a week. The school caters for children with a primary diagnosis of Autism. Many students also have additional diagnoses, such as ADHD and learning disabilities, and benefit from a nurturing, empathetic and engaging support system.

    As an Autism Support Assistant, you will provide one-to-one and small group support, helping students access learning and manage their emotional and behavioural responses in a safe, structured environment. Many of the children struggle with interpersonal skills, communication and emotional resilience, and your role will be key in helping build their confidence, regulation, and resilience.

    This specialist school employs a therapeutic approach to support the needs of their pupils. This means the children engage in many activities outside of traditional lessons. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to work alongside the therapists and psychologists based on-site at the school, and gain experience with restorative practices and therapeutic interventions.

    The school are looking for an Autism Specialist Support Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, passion and experience to the classroom.
