How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Class 2 Driver – Cheltenham Depot

    Location: Cheltenham
    Hours: 48 hours per week (average rostered), Sunday to Saturday
    Department: Semi-Retail
    Reporting to: Depot Manager

    About the Role

    We're looking for a professional and customer-focused Class 2 Driver to join our Cheltenham Depot.

    This is far more than just driving. You'll be the face of the business, delivering fresh products to our valued customers while providing exceptional service on every route. 

    What You'll Be Doing

    Safely deliver customer orders accurately and on time.
    Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
    Assist with loading your vehicle, ensuring deliveries are secure and correctly loaded.
    Build positive relationships with customers while delivering excellent service.
    Maintain high standards of food safety, health & safety, and legal compliance.
    Keep your vehicle clean and well presented.
    Operate handheld delivery devices to record deliveries and customer information.
    Collect customer payments where required.
    Collect empty trays and returned products for transport back to the depot.
    Support the wider team by covering holiday and sickness when required.

    What We're Looking For

    Essential

    Full UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
    Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
    Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
    Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
    Positive, flexible attitude with a team-focused approach.
    Comfortable working early mornings, nights and weekends as part of a rota.

    Desirable

    Previous multi-drop delivery experience.
    Experience within the dairy, foodservice or retail distribution sectors.
    Familiarity with handheld delivery technology (training provided).
