How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Vessel Manager – Offshore Wind Industry
    Location: Copenhagen HQ, Norwich, Vejle
    Salary: Competitive
    Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time
    Are you passionate about being the interface between the shoreside organisation and designated vessel(s) for all marine (non-project) related matters? Do you want to work in the green offshore wind industry where your skills and expertise will help secure a sustainable future based on renewable energy? Then keep reading – Cadeler is looking for a candidate to join our vessel management team with your skills and interests!
    Cadeler is a global partner in the offshore wind industry, specializing in wind farm construction and maintenance. We are part of an industry that is now, more than ever, both relevant and in high demand. As our industry continues to grow, so do we! We are now looking for a Vessel Manager to help in the management of all day-to-day activities and ensure high levels of operational availability.
    What will you do?
    As our new member of the vessel management team, you will assist with the planning of technical upgrades, modifications, and major vessel maintenance works in close cooperation with the technical maintenance team. Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with all statutory requirements issued by Flag State Administrations, Class Societies, and other regulatory authorities.
    Your main tasks include:
    * Demonstrate clear leadership in relation to the promotion of safety, compliance, and protection of the environment.
    * Planning, submission, and management of assigned vessel budgets and associated Significant Expenditure Authorizations.
    * Develop and maintain relevant procedures of the company’s management system and fleet/vessel-specific documentation in accordance with statutory requirements and industry guidelines.
    * Support marine and technical investigations when required and define corrective action plans in the event of failure(s) in cooperation with relevant parties.
    * Working in close cooperation with Marine HR on all matters related to the crewing of the designated vessel(s), including recruitment, appraisals, personal development plans, and promotions.
    To succeed in this role
    Being part of the Cadeler community means you will have a natural interest and care for the environment and our shared mission to speed up the green energy transition. Your environmental considerations and the safety of our people and the planet will be a key priority in your daily work.
    We are looking for a well-organised profile, who displays strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    We think you will be a good match if you have:
    * Experience within similar vessel operations, marine or offshore discipline preferred.
    * Experience in marine/offshore/construction operations.
    * Experience in Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) operations desirable.
    * Experience in technical budgeting and management thereof.
    * Experience in leadership and/or supervisory role(s)
    * Proficiency in computer software skills, including MS Office applications.
    * Fluent in written and oral English
    Come work with us!
    By becoming a Cadeler employee, you will be part of a rapidly growing company with a diverse and energetic team. We offer an exciting position focused on delivering excellence in the face of interesting new challenges, within a positive and rewarding work environment in an international company with great development possibilities.
    Cadeler is headquartered in Copenhagen, but we also have offices in Vejle, UK, US, and Taiwan, as well as colleagues working offshore aboard our fleet of Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) installation vessels.
