How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Daily Supply Teacher
    Location: Greenwich, London
    Salary: £150 – £170 per day
    Contract: Part-time, temporary
    Start Date: 1 September 2026

    Teach Now is looking for reliable and adaptable Daily Supply Teachers to work across welcoming primary schools in Greenwich from September 2026. This is a great opportunity for qualified teachers who want flexibility while continuing to make a positive impact in the classroom.
    We work with a range of supportive primary schools that value supply teachers who arrive prepared, build quick rapport with pupils and maintain a calm, productive learning environment. Whether you are an experienced teacher, returning to teaching or looking for flexible work around other commitments, this role offers variety and choice.

    The Role
    As a Daily Supply Teacher, you will provide short-term cover across KS1 and KS2, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the day. You may work across different year groups depending on school needs and your experience.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1 and/or KS2.
    • Maintain a positive, calm and focused classroom environment.
    • Follow school policies, routines and behaviour expectations.
    • Support pupils with their learning and encourage participation.
    • Provide brief feedback to school staff at the end of the day.
    • Adapt quickly to different classrooms, year groups and school settings.
    • Represent Teach Now professionally in every placement.

    Requirements
    • Qualified Teacher Status, QTS.
    • Recent teaching experience in a UK primary school.
    • Strong classroom management and the ability to build rapport quickly.
    • Flexible, reliable and professional approach.
    • Confidence teaching across KS1 and/or KS2.
    • Good understanding of safeguarding and school procedures.
    • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
