How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The school is a welcoming and ambitious primary setting with a strong community feel. Staff are supported by approachable leaders, collaborative year-group teams and a culture that values creativity, inclusion and high expectations. The school is looking for a teacher who can bring warmth, structure and energy to the classroom.

    The Role
As a KS1 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development. You will create a positive classroom environment where children feel safe to ask questions, take risks and develop a love of learning.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Plan and deliver creative, well-structured KS1 lessons.
    • Support pupil progress in reading, writing, maths and the wider curriculum.
    • Use assessment effectively to identify next steps and adapt teaching.
    • Create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
    • Work closely with teaching assistants, phase leaders and senior leaders.
    • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
    • Contribute to the wider life of the school and year-group planning.

    Requirements
    • Qualified Teacher Status, QTS.
    • Experience teaching in KS1 or strong placement experience for early career teachers.
    • Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective assessment practice.
    • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation.
    • A reflective, creative and collaborative teaching style.
    • Commitment to inclusion and raising standards for all pupils.
    • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

    Benefits
    • Permanent role from September 2026.
    • Inner London salary: £40,317 – £62,496, M1 – UPS3.
    • Supportive leadership team and collaborative teaching staff.
    • Welcoming Greenwich primary school with a strong community ethos.
    • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
    • Well-resourced classrooms and a positive learning environment.
This role would suit an experienced KS1 Teacher or an ambitious ECT looking for a supportive school where they can grow and make a lasting difference.
