How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role
As a KS2 Teacher, you will lead a Key Stage 2 class and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum. You will use strong subject knowledge, effective assessment and creative planning to support pupils’ academic development and prepare them for the next stage of their education.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons across core and foundation subjects.
    • Support pupil progress in reading, writing, maths and wider curriculum areas.
    • Use assessment information to plan targeted support and challenge.
    • Establish clear routines and a positive classroom culture.
    • Work closely with teaching assistants, phase leaders and senior leaders.
    • Promote confidence, resilience and independent learning.
    • Build constructive relationships with parents and carers.

    Requirements
    • Qualified Teacher Status, QTS.
    • Experience teaching in KS2 or strong recent primary teaching experience.
    • Secure knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations.
    • Strong classroom management and high expectations for all pupils.
    • Ability to plan inclusive, engaging and well-sequenced lessons.
    • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil progress.
    • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

    Benefits
    • Permanent, full-time position from September 2026.
    • Inner London salary of £40,317 – £62,496, M1 – UPS3.
    • Supportive school leadership and experienced phase team.
    • Positive Merton primary school with a welcoming staff culture.
    • Professional development opportunities and scope for career progression.
    • Opportunity to make a lasting impact in a well-supported classroom.
This is a great opportunity for a KS2 Teacher who wants to join a school where pupils are keen to learn, staff are valued and strong teaching practice is supported.
