How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Learning Support Assistant – 1:1 Autism Support

    Location: Enfield, London
    Salary: £100 – £101 per day

    Teach Now is seeking a caring, reliable and experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for two autistic pupils in a vibrant two-form entry primary school in Enfield.

    This is a full-time, long-term role supporting two verbal boys: one in Year 1 and one in Year 2. The successful candidate will spend half of the school day supporting each child within the classroom, helping them access learning, build confidence and engage positively with school life.

    The school is highly ambitious and sets high expectations for all pupils, encouraging children to become curious, confident and resilient learners. It offers a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child is valued and supported to reach their full potential.

    The Role

    As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

    • Provide 1:1 support for two autistic pupils across Year 1 and Year 2.
    • Support each child for half of the school day within the classroom.
    • Help pupils access learning and stay engaged in lessons.
    • Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
    • Encourage confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
    • Work closely with the class teachers, SENCO and wider support team.
    • Use a calm, consistent and nurturing approach.
    • Help maintain an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Previous experience supporting children with Autism or additional needs.
    • Experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or SEN Assistant.
    • A patient, positive and reliable approach.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • The ability to build trusting relationships with children.
    • Confidence supporting pupils within a mainstream classroom.
    • A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
