How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Head of Creative and Strategy - £60,000 to £70,000 - London, hybrid - 2 days per week in office.

We are working with a growing creative agency that is looking for a Head of Creative and Strategy to lead their creative and strategic output.

This is a big, exciting role for someone who can sit right at the heart of an agency and help shape both the work and the direction of the team.

You will be leading a small team of creatives and strategists, driving ideas across pitches and live projects, and helping the agency continue to raise the bar creatively. This is a role with real autonomy, so it needs someone who is confident in their thinking, brilliant with clients and able to turn strong strategic foundations into creative work that lands.

You will be someone who can think upstream of a brief, get under the skin of a brand, understand the audience and build the thinking that makes the creative stronger. But you will also be close enough to the work to make sure the ideas are brought to life properly, whether that is film, photography, animation, social-first content, strategy or design.

This would suit someone who loves ideas, enjoys winning work and knows how to lead a creative team without making it all about themselves. You will be the person helping to create the environment where great ideas happen, where the team feels pushed in the right way and where clients feel excited by the thinking being put in front of them.

You will be working across both B2B and B2C, with a strong focus on professional services and brand-led content. You will need to be as comfortable shaping audience strategy as you are directing a campaign idea, building a pitch deck or giving feedback on creative execution.

It is strategic, creative, commercial and leadership-focused in equal measure.

    What you will be doing

You will lead the creative and strategic development across pitches, campaigns and live client projects.

You will shape the strategic narrative behind new business pitches, making sure the thinking is clear, compelling and gives the creative a strong reason to exist.

You will run discovery and insight work with clients, getting under the skin of their brand, audience, market and commercial goals.

You will use research, data, cultural insight and AI tools where useful to sharpen the thinking and bring stronger strategic recommendations to the table.

You will lead idea generation across new business and live projects, working closely with a team of creatives and strategists.

You will build and present strong pitch decks that bring ideas to life clearly, confidently and commercially.

You will work closely with senior leadership on the agency’s creative direction, while having genuine autonomy over the day-to-day creative output.

You will act as the creative point of reference across key projects, staying close to work as it moves through production and post-production.

You will run internal creative sessions that generate strong ideas, while keeping one eye on impact and the other on commercial viability.

You will keep ahead of trends across branded content, social and campaign thinking, bringing fresh references and inspiration into the team.

You will write copy for pitches and, where needed, for client work.

You will collaborate with filmmakers, editors, animators, designers and illustrators to keep the creative output strong and joined up.

You will approve final edits and animations on creative-led projects, making sure the work is delivered as sold.

You will lead and develop a small team of creatives and strategists, supporting their growth and helping them do their best work.

You will sit as part of the senior leadership team and contribute to the wider growth and direction of the agency.

You will spot creative and strategic opportunities with existing clients and help turn ideas into new work.

You will have an understanding of what it takes to deliver the work commercially, including some involvement in scoping and costing.

    What we are looking for

You will likely have 10 years’ plus experience developing creative campaigns, ideally with strong experience across video, photographic and branded content.

You will have a proven track record across long-form, short-form and social-first content.

You will be comfortable developing strategic frameworks, channel strategies, audience strategies and campaign thinking from scratch.

You will not just respond to briefs, you will know how to shape them.

You will be a confident and inspiring presenter, both in the room and through the decks you create.

You will have a strong creative mind and enjoy exploring different routes, not just landing on the safest answer.

You will be able to quickly understand a client, their audience and what really matters to them.

You will have a solid understanding of production and post-production, so you know how ideas translate into the finished work.

You will have strong written and verbal communication skills.

You will have experience managing and developing a small creative or strategy team.

You will be comfortable in a fast-moving agency environment where priorities can shift quickly.

You will be commercially aware and understand that strong ideas still need to be deliverable, sellable and effective.

Why this could be a good move

This is a great opportunity to step into a senior creative leadership role with real influence.

You will be joining an agency that is growing, ambitious and continuing to win more creative and strategically interesting work. The team is small enough for you to make a genuine impact, but established enough that there is already strong momentum behind it.

There is room here to build something, shape the creative and strategy function, lead a talented team and become a key voice in the future direction of the agency.

If you are a senior creative and strategic thinker who loves winning work, building brilliant ideas and helping people around you do their best work, this could be a really exciting next step.
