How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Site Engineer

    We're recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering consultancy specialising in Earthworks and Ground Investigation (GI). With an expanding portfolio of projects and a reputation for technical excellence, they're looking for a driven Site Engineer to join their team.

    The Role

    As a Site Engineer, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of earthworks and ground investigation projects, working closely with project teams and clients to ensure works are completed safely, accurately and to the highest standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Setting out and carrying out engineering surveys

    * Supporting the delivery of Earthworks and Ground Investigation projects

    * Recording and interpreting site data

    * Producing accurate technical reports and site documentation

    * Liaising with clients, contractors and project teams

    * Maintaining quality, health & safety and environmental standards on site

    What We're Looking For

    * 2–5 years' experience as a Site Engineer

    * Experience within Earthworks, Ground Investigation, Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering

    * Strong report writing and technical communication skills

    * Good knowledge of surveying and setting-out techniques

    * A proactive, organised approach with excellent attention to detail

    * Full UK Driving Licence
