How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Reach Truck Driver / Warehouse Operative 

    Location: Swindon, SN3

    Pay Rate: £14.23 - £14.58 + Overtime

    Shifts: Monday to Thursday: 14:00 to 22:30 with Friday: 14:00 to 20:00

    Contract: Temporary ongoing

    Gap personnel are proud to be working together with the largest global manufacturer of Lead-Acid and Lithium-ion batteries based in Swindon, who are currently looking for Reach Forklift Operative to support their busy distribution centre. 

    Job Duties:

    Operating in narrow aisles for storing and retrieving pallets in racking
    Loading and unloading heavy materials
    High picks
    Ability to work accurately and safely.
    Ability to work to tight deadlines
    Ability to spot quality issues and able to confidently report issues to a Team Lead/Supervisor
    Stock replenishment in high locations in racking
    Stock put away to high locations in racking
    Ideal candidate will have:

    Proven experience in operating Reach truck in the past
    In date Reach FLT licence
    Enthusiastic work ethic with a willingness to improve and make a difference.
    Ability to problem solve and think outside the box.
    Ability to go the extra mile and be flexible with working hours when needed.
    Ability to follow & fully understand instructions and be able to clearly explain requirements to others.
    Good team skills to be able to work with others and lead from the front.
    Good verbal & written communication skills
    Good attention to detail.
    Due to nature of the business, Health and Safety induction and walkaround will be held on site. Prior to any interview and walkaround, maths test to be completed by the candidate on site in presence of and agency representative. All interviews will be held on site.
