How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Process Engineer

If you're a Process Engineer who enjoys taking manufacturing ideas from concept through to production, this is an excellent opportunity to work on-site with a major automotive manufacturer while being part of a consultancy that supports a wide range of customers and industries. You'll play a key role in introducing new manufacturing processes, equipment and production facilities for upcoming vehicle programmes, giving you exposure to exciting projects with genuine long-term potential.

    What You'll Be Doing

As a Process Engineer, you'll be involved throughout the introduction of new and updated manufacturing processes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    *

Planning, developing and introducing manufacturing processes and production equipment for new vehicle programmes.

    *

Assessing product designs to ensure they are suitable for efficient manufacture and assembly.

    *

Producing process documentation including PFMEAs and supporting virtual manufacturing simulations.

    *

Supporting prototype, pilot and production builds while identifying and driving resolution of manufacturing issues.

    *

Reviewing and selecting appropriate manufacturing technologies, including joining methods, automation and material handling systems.

    *

Preparing technical documentation and supplier RFQs while supporting supplier selection activities.

    *

Witnessing equipment build, installation and acceptance at supplier sites and manufacturing facilities.

    *

Investigating production and process issues using structured problem-solving techniques.

    *

Creating and maintaining project timing plans, ensuring milestones are achieved.

    *

Working closely with manufacturing, design, quality and project teams throughout the programme lifecycle.

    *

Monitoring equipment performance and ensuring new facilities achieve agreed capability and production targets.

    *

Supporting continuous improvement activities to enhance safety, quality, efficiency and cost.

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving manufacturing challenges and wants to see their work make a real impact on the factory floor.

    Ideally you'll have:

    *

An Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or Degree) in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

    *

Previous experience developing or launching manufacturing processes within an automotive or advanced manufacturing environment.

    *

Experience supporting Body-in-White (BIW), assembly or production engineering projects.

    *

Knowledge of manufacturing process planning, PFMEA and production readiness activities.

    *

Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD or CATIA.

    *

Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.

    *

A structured approach to problem solving and root cause analysis.

    *

The ability to manage multiple priorities while working within cross-functional engineering teams.

    *

Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work closely with suppliers, production teams and project stakeholders.

    Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to work on high-profile automotive programmes where you'll see projects through from initial concept to production launch. You'll be joining a consultancy with a strong pipeline of long-term projects across multiple industries, offering excellent career stability, continuous technical development and the chance to broaden your experience beyond a single customer or programme.

If you enjoy manufacturing engineering, process development and seeing your work come to life on the production line, this is a role where you'll be able to make a genuine difference from day one
