The Role

An established and growing Mechanical Building Services contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanical Estimator to join its commercial team based in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC Mechanical Estimator to work within a collaborative, family-run business delivering high-quality mechanical building services projects across the commercial, healthcare, education, residential, retail and industrial sectors. The company specialises in mechanical design, installation, fabrication and project management, operating nationwide from its Birmingham headquarters with in-house pipework and ductwork fabrication facilities. Working closely with Contracts Managers, Project Managers, suppliers and clients, the HVAC Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate tenders and cost plans for a wide range of mechanical building services projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and competitive tender submissions.

* Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

* Complete material take-offs and labour calculations.

* Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

* Produce accurate cost plans and pricing schedules.

* Liaise with clients throughout the tender process.

* Work closely with Contracts Managers to ensure smooth project handovers.

* Identify value engineering opportunities.

* Maintain accurate estimating records and tender documentation.

* Support business growth by securing profitable work.
