How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    As Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of a busy, thriving nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early years professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding care, developing high-performing teams, and creating an environment where children can flourish.

    Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you'll help lead and motivate the team, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and compliance are consistently achieved. You'll act as a role model, providing guidance and support to colleagues while helping to foster a positive, inclusive, and inspiring culture for both children and staff.

    This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to coach and develop practitioners, support operational excellence, build strong relationships with families, and step confidently into the Nursery Manager's role when required.

    What we're looking for:

    * Previous experience in a senior nursery role, such as Deputy Nursery Manager, Third in Charge, Room Leader, or similar.

    * A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years

    * Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

    * Excellent knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.

    * A passion for delivering exceptional childcare and creating positive outcomes for every child.

    * A proactive, organised approach with the confidence to support the commercial and operational success of the nursery.
