How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary School | Stepney Green, East London

A welcoming and ambitious Primary School close to Stepney Green is looking to appoint five Graduate Teaching Assistants to join its team from September. These full-time roles offer outstanding classroom experience for graduates who see education as a long-term career rather than a stop-gap job. Working alongside experienced teachers across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, you'll play an important part in helping pupils develop both academically and socially. With interviews taking place now, the school is keen to secure committed graduates who are ready to make a genuine contribution from the first day of term.

This is an ideal opportunity for graduates planning to train as teachers or pursue careers in educational psychology, child development or SEND. You'll receive day-to-day guidance from experienced staff, gain exposure to a wide range of teaching approaches and develop the confidence that only comes from working in a busy Primary School. Every day brings meaningful interaction with children, giving you the practical experience that university alone cannot provide. The leadership team values graduates who are reliable, reflective and eager to learn, creating an environment where your development is taken seriously.

    Key Highlights:

    * Graduate Teaching Assistant – five full-time vacancies available

    * Daily rate of £100–£115 depending on experience

    * Excellent experience for aspiring teachers, educational psychologists and child development professionals

    * Opportunity to work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 alongside experienced teaching staff

    What You'll Be Doing:

    * Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum

    * Deliver small-group interventions in literacy, numeracy and phonics

    * Assist individual pupils who need additional academic or pastoral support

    * Encourage positive behaviour and help create an inclusive classroom environment

    * Prepare learning resources and contribute to stimulating classroom displays

    * Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues throughout the school

Ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant for this East London School:

    * Degree graduate with strong academic credentials

    * QTS is not required for this Graduate Teaching Assistant role

    * Aspiring teacher, educational psychologist or child development professional

    * Committed to working full-time for the entire academic year

    * Confident communicator who enjoys working with primary-aged children

    * Genuine interest in education rather than simply seeking temporary employment

    * Professional, dependable and ready to contribute from September

Why Join this East London School?

    * Five Graduate Teaching Assistant positions available, offering opportunities across different year groups

    * Located within walking distance of Stepney Green Underground Station with excellent transport links

    * Experienced leadership team with a strong track record of developing future teachers

    * Graduates are regularly supported into teacher training and other education-focused careers

    * Diverse school community where no two classrooms are the same and every day provides valuable experience

    * Welcoming staff who invest time in coaching and mentoring graduates throughout the academic year

    How to Apply:
