Role Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced Painter to support our long-term partnership with Amey, delivering planned repairs and maintenance to family housing across military facilities in Cottesmore, covering Peterborough, Melton Mowbray and South Nottingham.

This role will be delivered on a price work basis for full redecoration of void properties, with some responsive repair works included.

In this role, you will carry out painting and decorating works to ensure homes remain safe, well presented and maintained to a high standard.

What You'll Deliver

* Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works.

* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, filling, sanding and priming prior to decoration.

* Apply paints, stains, varnishes and other finishes to a high standard.

* Undertake minor making-good works to prepare surfaces for decoration.

* Complete work safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards.

* Work independently and collaboratively as part of the wider team.

* Ensure all work complies with health and safety, quality and customer service standards.

* Use PDA/mobile technology to manage and update work orders accurately.

* Carry out full redecoration of void properties to a high standard.

* Support responsive painting and decorating repair works as required.

About You

* Experience in a painting and decorating role within social housing, domestic maintenance or property repairs.

* Strong knowledge of painting preparation techniques, materials and finishes.

* Ability to deliver high-quality workmanship with excellent attention to detail.

* Experience working in occupied and void properties.

* Confident using PDA/mobile technology.

* NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent) is desirable.

* Full UK driving licence.

* Able to obtain or already hold DBS and SC clearance.

* Right to work in the UK.

* Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.

Physical Requirements

This role involves practical, hands-on work and requires a good level of mobility and manual dexterity. You may at times be required to work at height, in confined spaces or on uneven ground, and to use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
