How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Family Support Worker – Lancashire County Council

    Fox Morris Group are working to recruit a Family Support Worker

    Role and Responsibilities:

    1. Make a real difference to families’ lives by delivering tailored support that meets their needs. This includes carrying out Early Help assessments, cocreating SMART action plans, and delivering evidence based interventions that support children and young people to thrive.

    2. Working proactively to build trust with families by respecting confidentiality, clearly and sensitively explaining when information must be shared to keep children safe.

    3. Champion outstanding practice, ensuring children’s needs are front and centre in every action, decision and interaction, and their voice is central to planning and decision making.

    4. Tell the story of your work effectively, recording all interventions in a clear, accurate and non‑judgemental way—supported by thoughtful analysis that demonstrates your impact.

    5. Work confidently and independently, using your initiative to respond to families’ needs while seeking guidance wherever it enhances the quality of support.

    6. Be a responsible for resources, ensuring any budget used to support children, young people and families achieves maximum impact.

    Experience:

    1. Experience of, or the ability to demonstrate the competence to, work directly with individual children, young people and families to identify and assess their needs and make appropriate planned responses which seek to improve outcomes.

    2. Experience of working with a wide range of other professionals to develop and deliver shared initiatives for children, young people and families.

    3. Good understanding of the developmental milestones of children and young people and the issues that affect them in contemporary society.
