Salary: Up to £60k plus package DOE
I'm currently working with a growing SME residential developer who specialise in delivering high-quality, sustainable homes across the South East. Due to continued expansion and a strong pipeline of upcoming developments, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that genuinely values quality over volume, where you'll play a key role in the commercial delivery of bespoke residential developments from procurement through to final account.
Working closely with the Mangaing QS and project teams, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of schemes while contributing to the continued growth of a highly respected developer.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the commercial aspects of residential developments from pre-construction through to final account.
* Preparing cost plans, budgets and financial reports.
* Procuring subcontractors and negotiating subcontract packages.
* Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.
* Preparing and submitting valuations and cost reports.
* Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout each project.
* Monitoring project costs and ensuring developments are delivered within budget.
* Working closely with construction and technical teams to support successful project delivery.
Requirements
* Previous Quantity Surveying experience within the housebuilding industry is essential.
* Would consider an AQS ready to step up.
* Strong knowledge of commercial management, procurement and cost control.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Commercially minded with strong analytical abilities.
* Relevant construction qualification (HNC, HND or Degree) preferred.
