How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a resilient, compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs?

    We are currently recruiting for **full-time SEN Teaching Assistants** to support children and young people within specialist educational settings in **Kidderminster**. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

    ## About the Role

    You will be providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of complex additional needs, including:

    * Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
    * Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
    * Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
    * Trauma and attachment-related needs
    * Communication and sensory processing difficulties
    * Complex behavioural needs that require a calm, consistent and nurturing approach

    Every day is different, and your role will involve building positive relationships, supporting learning activities, promoting independence, encouraging communication and helping pupils regulate their emotions in a safe and supportive environment.

    You will work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to ensure every child receives the individual support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

    ## What We're Looking For

    We are looking for individuals who are:

    * Available to work **Monday to Friday** on a full-time basis.
    * Hold a **full UK driving licence** and have access to their own vehicle (essential due to school locations).
    * Reliable, punctual and committed to providing consistency for pupils.
    * Calm, patient and emotionally resilient.
    * Confident supporting children who may display behaviours that challenge.
    * Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
    * Able to adapt their approach to meet each child's individual learning and emotional needs.
    * Excellent communicators with strong teamwork skills.
    * Willing to learn and undertake additional SEN training where required.

    Previous experience working within education, care, youth work, residential settings, support work, healthcare or mental health is highly desirable. However, we also welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.

    ## Why Join Us?

    * Full-time, long-term opportunities.
    * Competitive rates of pay.
    * Ongoing training and professional development.
    * Opportunity to gain valuable experience within specialist education.
    * Support from an experienced and dedicated consultant.
    * Chance to make a lasting impact on children's education, wellbeing and future.

    This role can be physically and emotionally demanding, so we are looking for individuals who are resilient, proactive and committed to providing the highest standard of care and support. In return, you will become part of a dedicated team making a real difference to the lives of children who need it most.

    If you are looking for a rewarding career where no two days are the same and every day provides an opportunity to positively impact a child's life, we would love to hear from you. Apply today to begin your journey in specialist education.
