How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Year 2 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

    Location: Watford
    Pay Range: £204.74 - £278.87

    Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed-term (Maternity Cover, September 2026 start, interviews ASAP)

    ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and community-focused faith-based primary school in North West London seeking a Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a maternity cover basis (interviews taking place ASAP).

    This full-time, fixed-term position offers the opportunity to teach a well-established Year 2 class within a nurturing and supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

    The school is known for its strong values, excellent pastoral care, and collaborative staff culture, creating an environment where teachers can focus on delivering high-quality teaching and learning while supporting positive outcomes for all pupils.

    This Year 2 Class Teacher role would suit an enthusiastic and dedicated primary teacher looking to develop their career within a supportive school community.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.

    * Assess, monitor and track pupil progress to ensure strong academic outcomes.

    * Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.

    * Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.

    * Promote positive behaviour in line with the school's policies and values.

    * Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development.

    * Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and senior leaders.

    * Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.

    The Ideal Candidate Will:

    * Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

    * Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.

    * Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment requirements.

    * Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

    * Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.

    * Be a reflective practitioner with a proactive approach to professional development.

    * Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

    * Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the wider school community.
