How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Install, commission and service machinery and equipment.
Assemble and fit machine components to engineering drawings.
Liaise effectively with production teams, engineers, fitters and management.
Monitor component quality and delivery to ensure operational efficiency.
Maintain tools and equipment to company quality and safety standards.
Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
Assist with the training and development of apprentices.
Support quality improvement activities to reduce waste, defects and downtime.
Undertake additional engineering duties as required.

    About You

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent Engineering qualification.
Time-served apprenticeship within Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Previous experience working on heavy plant or industrial manufacturing equipment.
Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
    Knowledge of CMMS maintenance systems.
    Welding experience would be advantageous.
    Experience operating overhead cranes.
Forklift Truck (FLT) experience or licence is desirable.
    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Rotating day shifts offering excellent work-life balance.
Opportunity to join a stable and growing manufacturing business.
    Ongoing training and development.
